While stopped at 7th and Cypress in St. Paul, a male undercover officer was inside the station, and the female officer was inside an unmarked squad car outside.
The 14- and 15-year-old approached the vehicle and began pounding on the windows.
According to Tom Walsh of the St. Paul Police Department, the undercover officer "identified herself as a police officer, and they didn't care who she was, and began to take swings and punches at her."
The male officer came to her aid.
After a short scuffle, the officers were able to subdue and arrest the suspects. They are now facing assault charges at the juvenile detention center.
The male officer suffered a dislocated finger; the female officer injured her knee.
